8ZED Digital Webcam Driver Installation
If your 8ZED Digital Webcam does not work when you plugged it into your computer, please follow these instructions below:
You will need to download the Webcam's Driver.

Once that's downloaded, unzip the file and follow the installation instructions.
Before you install it, it might be a good idea to follow the instructions below if you have plugged the webcam in before the
install completed:
- Restart Computer
- Make sure no applications are running and there is no webcams connected or disks in the Drives.
- Uninstall ANY webcam Drivers by:
- Going to Start Menu > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
- Look for ‘AMCAP’, ‘Hnica K68’, ‘VIMICRO USB PC Camera’, or ‘ZC0301PL’
- If any of the above programs are found, uninstall them completely.
- Close the control panel and SHUT DOWN the computer.
- Leave for 5mins and restart the computer.
- Go back to Start Menu > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
- Look again to make sure the webcam files are ALL uninstalled (‘AMCAP’, ‘Hnica K68’, ‘VIMICRO USB PC Camera’, ‘ZC0301PL’)
- If you find one, uninstall it again and restart again.
- Also Uninstall ANY other Webcam programs that have been installed, and then restart the computer.
- After restarting, Make sure no applications are running and there is no webcams connected.
- Insert the webcam Driver in the Disc Drive
- Go to my computer, and open up the disc drive (usually D: or E: )
- There should be one setup file on the disc. The program is: *Hnica* *K68 V10017 071010*
- Double click to open program
- Microsoft will prompt you saying that it is not a Microsoft windows program or something similar. Ignore that, and continue with installation. (Click yes to continue or ‘Allow’)
- Follow all the set-up prompts and read every pop up to make sure the set-up continues.
- Once The installation process has finished, click on ‘finish’ and leave the computer running for 15-30mins.
- Then, restart the computer.
- Plug in Webcam into a working USB Port. Let it sit for a moment, and Windows should automatically find the webcam, and install another driver. (it might only show as a small icon in the lower right of the task bar). If you are unsure if anything is going on, you can leave it run for a few minutes (Estimated installation time after plugging in the webcam is around 2-3mins).
- Once everything has finished, restart the computer. You can leave the webcam connected
- After the restart, go to your Start Menu > then Programs > then open VIMICRO USB PC Camera > open program AMCAP
- Video Should load.
